Just an addendum to my husband's note on Beans Creek Winery. I found the BCW's Norton an acceptable table wine. No exceptional Norton wine character, but during last night's Super Bowl we had this wine accompanying shrimp & grits and a bowl of spicy chicken with a more accepting comment from my New Orlean's Saint fan-for-the-evening. If you are in the Manchester, TN area, you might want to try Beans Creek Winery's Norton wine as a dry table wine alternative.

Thanks. Good overview of Deep South Nortons. Try our Fat Boy Red sometime. This is a Cynthiana-Cab Franc-Merlot-Cab Sauv blend that is off dry and probably our biggest selling red at $15 a bottle.
