While out in CA, I tasted through several wines while Thea kindly hosted a bunch of wine bloggers and wine folks at her house. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them, but I wanted to write up the notes anyway, as I’d been waiting for years to try at least one of these wines!
2004 Escafeld Petit Verdot: Chocolate, blueberries, blackberries, spice, dark, delicious, spice, tannic. Incredible blue fruit!
2004 Redline EaglePoint Ranch Syrah: Spice, meaty, oak, plums, black fruit, blackberries, dark currants, spicy, tannic.
2004 Redline Blue Oaks Vineyard Syrah: Smoky, funk, forrest floor, blackberries, very dark, tannic. My favorite of the two Syrahs.
2005 Redline Pinot Noir Cedar Lanes Vineyard: Mushroom, strawberry, cherries, very slight vanilla, earthy, nice.

Say hi to Farley!
Domaine J Laurens Brut Blanc de Blancs: Sweet honey nose, yeast, toasted almonds, green apple, apricot, fresh, crisp.
